OPTIMIZATION, MAINTENANCE AND STANDARDIZATION
“Our strength is the optimization, maintenance and standardization of production, especially in the automotive industry we carry out such activities. Our highly qualified professional team primarily provides support to large companies and various suppliers throughout Central Europe. We operate in areas such as the software development of industrial controls, as well as the development of on-demand software. According to the needs of our partners, we provide our solutions with various functions that can make production more efficient, i.e., we even provide them with artificial intelligence, and we design and manufacture automated, special machines or robot cells that enable the optimization of operations,” Zoltán Szalai explains. Auware Engineering provides services for production lines or individual machines, i.e., they carry out the programming of the entire control system, and they also help with commissioning and support during production.
OPTIMIZATION OF PRODUCTION
“We carry out an analysis of the production process and make a proposal to make the process safer and faster. While the machines are operating, we look for the factors that hinder efficiency, and then perform the final troubleshooting by improving the weak points of the system. And in the field of industrial software development, we create easy-to-use and modifiable applications that are primarily used in automation,” emphasizes Zoltán Szalai.
The software includes solutions supporting smaller production equipment, such as tools enabling saving from PLCs to Excel files, providing, and developing software packages for small businesses. The software and corresponding display interfaces are prepared according to individual needs for industrial controls. Software testing can even take place at the customer’s premises.
“An auto parts manufacturer had two similar machine lines that produced similar products. These occupied an extremely large space in the hall and were generally inefficient in terms of labor costs, energy, and preparation time, which had a detrimental effect on the price of the product. They contacted us to optimize production without compromising quality.
Our experts analysed the production and decided to combine the two machine lines into a single equipment. Thanks to this technical change, the customer can use classic stations for the same processes, thus saving some space in the factory, requiring fewer people, and overall making the whole process more efficient. In the case of longer cycles, we were able to duplicate the stations with parallel operations. This resulted in more redundant and safer operation,” Zoltán Szalai illustrates their service with an example.
RETROFIT MACHINES CAN ALSO BE EFFECTIVE
The existing equipment often does not ensure efficient production but replacing it would mean a burdensome investment. Auware Engineering’s services include retrofitting to overcome this. By modernizing and reprogramming machines that have been in production for a long time, problem-free production can be ensured for at least another five years. Retrofit equipment can be a more financially efficient solution than putting new ones into operation.
“One of our main areas of expertise is the retrofitting and smartening of machines that have been in production for several years. This means that we transform and reprogram them so that the same or other products can be produced on them,” explains Zoltán Szalai.
ROBOT PROGRAMMING AND MAINTENANCE
Planned preventive maintenance and the regular replacement of worn parts reduce the number of scraps. Auware Engineering provides support to users at specific intervals depending on the current status of the robot. Preventive maintenance includes regular testing and care (e.g. lubrication of mechanical parts) and replacement of worn parts.
“There are smaller companies that don’t have enough programming/engineering staff. Since it is more efficient to outsource skilled labor, we can provide specially and highly trained, experienced professionals every day of the week, either on site or remotely. If a machine breaks down, we check the equipment at our partner’s premises,” emphasizes Zoltán Szalai.
